Primary Goals & Objectives

Christopher Clayton Furniture offers a diversity in home decor typically found only in larger urban markets. The eclectic mix covers traditional, contemporary and everything in between. The g[squared] team was tasked with designing a new logo and building a website that would accurately reflect the company’s direction.

Our design team completed a refresh of the logo, simplifying the design to focus and build on the growing awareness of the company name. The previous logo included design elements that reflected only a single facet of their business. Using an elegant wordmark comprised of both serif and san-serif typography allowed us to more appropriately communicate traditional and contemporary themes in a sophisticated yet understated way.

The primary intent of the website was to clearly communicate the unique variety of decor options available to the customer, in a way that was welcoming, informative and engaging.

Because of the product it carries and the variety of distinguished lines, Christopher Clayton Furniture offers a spectacular visual experience to its customers when they walk through the front doors. We wanted the website, especially the home page, to have the same dramatic effect. A photo shoot, directed by g[squared], delivered images that invite the viewer to imagine themselves in that space.

The home is an intimate space and an expression of your personality shared with those closest to you. To help you ‘define your style’, the site portions out information and details in a natural and intuitive way. The site was created with user experience in mind, giving the visitor a simple way to explore the decor possibilities. For the client, the site offers an effortless customization of the image galleries so items can be added and removed easily.
