Primary Goals & Objectives

Assembled by Angus Watt, a leader in Edmonton’s financial community, the Angus Watt Advisory Group at National Bank Financial is a team of financial specialists with decades of experience in investment and insurance management.

When g[squared] was hired by the Angus Watt Advisory Group, they had several goals they wanted to achieve. They wanted to position themselves as experts in their field and raise their profile in the marketplace, drive traffic to their website, and educate consumers about investing in financial markets in an accessible, easy to understand manner.

Based on these goals, g[squared] developed a strategic marketing plan that included website development and design, an advertising campaign, media buys, and speaking engagements for the group’s namesake, Angus Watt. Our creative team reimagined the Angus Watt Advisory Group’s visual identity.

This included designing a logo that fit the guidelines of the group’s parent company, National Bank Financial, while still creating a unique brand locally for the Angus Watt Advisory Group. We also developed a tagline that would capture the group’s purpose and values. We focused on two keywords: experience, referring to both the years of experience possessed by the team and the enhanced experience of dealing with financial professionals, and invest. The end result was: “Invest in the experience.”
