Our resident storyteller and Communications Specialist possesses a diverse and comprehensive background of education, volunteer involvement and work experience.

Before beginning her communications career, Brittany earned a Diploma in Professional Writing as well as a Bachelor of Applied Communications in Professional Writing from MacEwan University. While working full time, she also managed to earn a Diploma of Public Relations from MacEwan University.

After an internship with the City of Edmonton in 2011, she started as a Communications Coordinator with REACH Edmonton Council for Safe Communities and was promoted to Communications Manager in 2017. She has since joined the City of Edmonton Police Service in the Public Affairs office. Through her volunteer endeavours, Brittany has had the opportunity to work with organizations such as Crime Stoppers Association of Edmonton and Northern Alberta, the Below the Belt men’s project and the Edmonton Ukrainian Festival. She is currently a board member with the International Association of Business Communicators Edmonton.

When she’s not busy communicating, you can find her travelling (19 countries and counting) or looking for new volunteer opportunities in the community.
